The building is two storeys high and has four windows, with those on the first floor linked above by a heavy arched dripstone and below by a stucco sill band. The windows are round-headed and have architraves. The ground floor includes arched windows with plain pilasters between them. The central entrance has doors with engraved glass panels and a central wrought iron lampholder with a modern lamp. The pub serves as a focal point when looking along College Terrace from Tredegar Square.
