Description
Doddington Place consists of two houses, dated 1835. They are built of stock brick with stucco dressings and feature slate roofs. This pair of semi-detached villas has a plaque in the pediment that reads 'Doddington Place, 1835'. The buildings are two storeys over a basement. The pediment spans the central projecting block of both houses and is supported by Doric pilasters that carry a broad entablature. The entrance bays are in recessed sections on either side.
Each house has the following openings: on the first floor, there is one 8x8 sash window in the centre and one 6x6 sash window to the side; on the ground floor, there is one 8x8 sash window in the centre, a 4-panel door to the side basement, and one late 20th-century window in the centre. All windows are flat-arched, and except for the basement, the glazing is original. The doors are replacements from the 20th century. No. 330 has been extended one bay further to the west, and this extension features 8x8 sash windows under flat brick arches on both floors. The interior has not been inspected. Doddington Place forms a group with Nos. 326 and 328.
