Description
Doddington Cottages are two houses built in 1836, constructed from stock brick with stucco dressings and a slate roof. These semi-detached villas feature a plaque in the pediment that reads 'Doddington Cottages, 1836'. The buildings are two storeys tall with a basement. The pediment spans the central projecting block of both houses and is supported by Doric pilasters that carry a broad entablature. The entrance bays are set in recessed sections on either side.
The window arrangement for each house includes one 8x8 sash window in the center and one 6x6 sash window to the side on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is one 8x8 sash window in the center, accompanied by a 4-panel door to the side. The basement features a late 20th-century window in the center. All windows are flat-arched, and except for the basement window, the glazing is original. The doors are 20th-century replacements, but the semicircular fanlights above them are original, and No. 326 retains its original doorcase. The cottages form a group with Nos. 330 and 332.
