Description

Numbers 79-85 comprise a group of four houses, built around 1778 as part of a terrace on Camberwell Grove. The houses are constructed of amber brick, with red brick dressings on numbers 79-83. They have coped parapets, though number 81 features an added slate mansard with dormers. Each house is three storeys high with a basement, and has two bays. Steps lead to round-headed doorways, featuring doors with cornice heads that extend around the jambs on numbers 81 and 85, and fanlights; the fanlight on number 83 is decorative while the others are radial. The sash windows have glazing bars, with those in the left-hand bays being tripartite. Number 85 has flat, stucco surrounds to its windows. A first-floor stucco sill band runs along numbers 79-85. The interiors have not been inspected. The property is accompanied by cast-iron area railings with spearhead finials.
