Description

Queen Mary Gate to Dulwich Park is a gate built around 1890, made of stone, cast iron, and wrought iron. It features five piers that define two carriageways, with walkways on either side. The railings and piers extend to the pavement and end with a pier at each side. Each pier is square and has a rebated section, with rusticated blocks forming the capital, which is adorned with scrolls and volutes inspired by French Second Empire designs. The gates themselves are topped with ornamental cresting.
