Description
This is a terrace of three houses, now used as a shop and restaurant, dating from the early 19th century and altered over time. The buildings have a stucco front and a tiled mansard roof with dormers located behind a cornice and blocking course on Nos. 94 and 96. Each house is two storeys tall with an attic.
No. 94 features two bays and has a ground-floor shop front with two bowed windows to the right of the door. Slender cast-iron Tuscan columns support a fascia board and a first-floor balcony that is adorned with decorative cast-iron railings. The first-floor sash windows have glazing bars and are segmental-headed, framed by a stucco architrave and keystone.
No. 96, currently a restaurant, has three bays and is similar to No. 94 but includes a Doric porch with glazed sides on the ground floor, fluted angle pilasters, a triglyph frieze, and a moulded cornice. It also features later bay windows on either side.
No. 98, also a restaurant, has one bay and a rusticated stucco ground floor. It has tripartite windows on both the ground and first floors, with the first-floor window having a console bracketed cornice and flanked by end pilasters. The attic features a sash window with glazing bars set in a shaped gable. The interior has not been inspected.
