Description
No. 1B Southwark Street is a shop and warehouse that has been converted into offices and a restaurant. It dates from the early 19th century and is built of Flemish bond brick with a slate gambrel roof. The building has three storeys and an attic, featuring three bays. The original shop front opening, flanked by pilasters, has a mid-20th century door, fascia, and windows. To the right, there is a three-storey loading bay beneath a gauged brick segmental arch, which includes a mid-20th century door and windows, as well as a jib crane. The windows are horned sashes with gauged brick segmental arches; those on the first floor have 12 panes, while those on the second floor have 6 panes. The interior has not been inspected.
