Description
Nos 60 and 62 on Romford Road in Stratford are a pair of houses designed as a double villa, dating from the early to mid 19th century. They are constructed from brown brick and rise three storeys with a basement. The ground and second floor windows are plain, featuring flat gauged heads and altered sashes. The first floor windows have flat gauged heads and are recessed within shallow brick semicircular arched panels. There are plain stucco cill and impost bands at the first floor level, along with a stucco cornice. To one side, there is a contemporary single-bay two-storey annexe that includes round-headed entrance doors with patterned fanlights. Single-bay pavilions are set back beyond, although the cornice has been removed on the right side.
