Description

Nos 54 and 56 on Romford Road are two dwellings built in the mid-18th century. They are three storeys high and each has two windows. The buildings are made of painted brick with flat brick arches above the flush framed windows. The second floor features casement windows, while the first floor has sash windows. Both buildings have parapets and a brick cornice, topped with a slated mansard roof. The rear of No 54 has a canted 19th-century bay extension, and No 56 has flush framed windows that are subdivided by glazing bars. The ground floor features advanced shop fronts, which are not of particular interest.
