Description
No. 30 Romford Road is an 18th-century house located in Stratford, E15. The building features painted weatherboard with reeded lower edges. It stands three storeys high and is five window bays wide, presenting a symmetrical façade. The central entrance has a doorway framed by moulded architraves and narrow side panels, with consoles that support a moulded cornice hood above a pulvinated frieze. The window openings are adorned with plain timber architraves and moulded cornice heads. The house has 20th-century fenestration, including fixed windows with louvred top lights. An eaves cornice runs along the top, and the hipped tiled roof has three centrally placed dormers, each topped with hipped tiled gabled roofs. There is a weatherboarded return elevation to the right and a scrolled timber advertising panel above the eaves cornice.
