Description

3 and 4 Grote's Place is an early to mid 19th century pair of houses, each three storeys high with two windows. They feature a fairly low pitched, slated roof with deep eaves soffits. Flat pilasters define the central bays and support a band on the second floor. The sash windows, mostly with glazing bars, are set in moulded architraves, with console bracketed cornices above the ground and first floor windows. The six-panel doors also have similar cornices and are topped with patterned rectangular fanlights. Nos 1 to 4 Grote's Place form a group.
