Description

Nos 23 to 27, Albury Street is an early 18th-century terrace of three buildings, each of three storeys with a sunken basement, and originally featuring three windows. The buildings are constructed of multicoloured stock brick with red brick dressings, and have a parapet front. The doors are from the mid-19th century; they have cornice heads and simple rectangular fanlights, set within moulded architraves. The doorcase pilasters remain, although the bracketted hoods have been removed for safekeeping. All windows are currently boarded up. Recessed panels are visible below the windows. The ground floors are rendered. The buildings are to be restored by the Greater London Council. Nos 13 to 45 (odd) form a group.
