Description

This is a row of three pairs of semi-detached houses, built in the third quarter of the 19th century on Westwood Hill. They are constructed in the Tudor style. The houses have very steep, slated roofs, topped with tall chimneys, and a gable over the central bay. The outermost bay of each pair is set back. The exterior is brown stock brick with stone dressings, including quoins, mullions, and alternating stone blocks around the windows. The ground floor has canted bay windows, each featuring a stone cornice with gargoyles, some of which are missing. The front doors have Tudor-arched heads, set within square hoodmoulds, and consist of six vertical panels, with the three upper panels pointed and glazed. Numbers 14 to 28 form a group.
