Description
Nos 124 to 128 on Kirkdale, built in the early to mid-19th century, form a symmetrical stucco composition consisting of two pairs of houses and a single house in between. The outer houses of each pair have been altered and feature projecting modern shop fronts. The building has two storeys and a basement, with five round-arched windows, except for the outer first-floor windows. All windows are sashes, some with glazing bars or margin lights. The central first-floor window is a later canted oriel bay with pilasters and an entablature. The walls are roughly rendered, and No 126 has moulded door and window architraves. The doors of Nos 126 and 128 have radial fanlights. There is a mid-19th century shop front projecting from the front of No 124 and the right bay of No 126, featuring rounded composite pilasters, a moulded architrave, and a fascia with a dentil cornice. The windows have glazing bars.
