Description

This is an early 19th century terrace of six houses, located on the south side of Harleyford Road. The buildings are each three storeys high and have a basement, originally designed with two windows each, although number 48 is wider and number 56 is only one window wide with an entrance on its left return. The external appearance is of stock brick with a stucco frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The central panel of the blocking course is inscribed “CLUN TERRACE 1826”. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, and the ground floor windows have round arches above them. Six steps, mostly with wrought iron handrails, lead to six-panel doors, each with a cornice head and a simple radial fanlight. The left return of number 56 features three bays.
