Description

This is an early 19th century pair of buildings located on Harleyford Road. They are each three storeys high with a basement, and each has a two-window main block, with an additional outer entrance bay. The buildings are constructed of stock brick with a stuccoed parapet coping and blocking course. The sash windows are topped with gauged flat brick arches, most retaining glazing bars. Above the entrance, a central oval plaque is inscribed "THE PARADE 1821." Number 60 has five steps leading to a six-panel door with a corniced head and a plain fanlight, located within a stuccoed bay. Number 58 has five steps to a flush door, with a rectangular fanlight, set back behind a stuccoed bay with quasi-classical detailing.
