Description

This is a pair of houses, numbers 152 and 154, located on Lambeth Road, dating from approximately 1800. Each house is four storeys high with a basement, and originally featured three windows. The top floor was likely added later. The exterior is constructed of stock brick, topped with a parapet. Some original sash windows retain their glazing bars, while others have been replaced. These windows are topped with gauged flat brick arches. A five-step and a three-step approach lead to the front doors, which consist of six fielded panels, a fluted head, and a rectangular fanlight set within a deep panelled reveal. The doorcases are framed by fluted Ionic pilasters, a fluted frieze, and a dentil cornice. Tall wrought iron area railings are present.
