Description

These are a pair of houses dating from the late 18th century and early 19th century, situated on South Terrace. The houses are three storeys high, with an attic and basement including an area. Each house has two sash windows and one dormer window. They are constructed of red brick with grey headers, feature yellow brick dressings, quoins, a modillion cornice, and a vertical strip that runs between the two houses. The parapet is red brick with grey headers. Steps lead to small Doric porches, which are united by a joint entablature; the western column of this feature is a modern replacement, and the entablature has triple brackets instead of mutules and fluting instead of triglyphs. The porches are topped by rectangular fanlights, and the entrances are framed by six-panel doors within reveals. The basement windows are arched slightly.
