Description

A pair of late 18th-century townhouses, Nos. 5 and 6 Norfolk Place, have undergone later additions and alterations. The buildings are three storeys high and feature two windows and one dormer each. The facades are constructed of grey headers with red brick dressings, including quoins, a stringcourse above the ground and first floors, and a modillion cornice. A grey header parapet sits above the cornice. Large bay windows have been added to the ground floor, each with a balcony above. No. 5 features a stuccoed porch housing a doorway with a rectangular fanlight and a six-panel moulded door, the top two panels glazed. No. 6 has a cemented porch containing the original doorway, which is framed with fluted details, a keystone, a semi-circular fanlight, panelled reveals, and a six-panel moulded door, also with the top two panels glazed.
