Description
The tomb of Sir Horace Jones is a table tomb on feet, built around 1887 by an unknown designer. It features a stone structure with a granite and stone base. The base is stepped and rectangular, with the granite step having chamfered edges. The rectangular tomb has an inscribed top and rests on ball feet at each corner. The sides are adorned with a Gothic fringe and inscriptions. Sir Horace Jones was the architect-surveyor for the City of London and is known for designing Tower Bridge, as well as Billingsgate, Smithfield, and Leadenhall Markets.
