Description

This is a pair of early to mid-19th century houses, numbered 6 to 12 Stockwell Park Crescent. The houses are arranged as two pairs, each of two storeys, with an attic and basement, and originally featuring one window each. Numbers 8 and 12 have a slightly recessed entrance bay, raised to one storey. The houses are built of stock brick, with rebuilt parapets and a slated mansard roof, incorporating dormers. They have an axial recess. The windows are largely sash windows, many retaining glazing bars, and are set within moulded architraves. These architraves have console bracketed cornices and stuccoed panels below on the ground floor. Five steps lead to half-glazed four-panel doors. Numbers 6 and 8 have rectangular fanlights and stuccoed entablature surrounds, while the others have plain fanlights and round-arched, classical entrance surrounds. Balustrades are present to the entrance bays of numbers 6 and 10. The property is included on the list for group value.
