Description

This is a row of mid-19th century villas, numbered 47 to 61, located on Loughborough Park. There are six villas in the group, each two storeys high with an attic and basement, and originally featuring three windows. The walls are constructed of stock brick, although numbers 47 and 49 have brick quoins which are stuccoed. The roofs are slate-covered, with dormers and end chimneys. A bracketed eaves soffit is present. The first floor has sash windows with margin lights, set within gauged near-flat brick arches. The ground floor has casements with ornamental cast iron guards and a classical treatment. Each villa is accessed via a Roman Doric porch with a modillion cornice, which rises up nine steps.
