Description
St Saviour's Parish Hall is an early 20th-century building designed by Beresford Pite. It features two-storey front and back ranges, with a seven-bay, one-storey section positioned at right angles in between. The front elevation is constructed of stock brick, accented with red brick dressings and some Portland stone. The roof has a moderate pitch and is raised in the center to accommodate an ogee lead bell cupola, with tall brick chimneys on either side. The building has pilaster bay divisions, with the central ones featuring quasi-Ionic capitals that support modified brick entablatures. The side bays are blank. On the first floor, there are paired windows in a slightly recessed center, positioned above three elliptical arches that have stone keys and an impost band. A central keystone supports a stone plaque inscribed with "ST SAVIOUR'S PARISH HALL." Behind the arcade, there is an open entrance loggia with mosaic-lined walls decorated with key-pattern borders.
