Description

This is an early to mid-19th century terrace of twelve cottages, numbered 62 to 72 Roupell Street. The cottages are two storeys high with a two-window frontage. They are constructed of stock brick with a gable-shaped parapet edged with stone. The sash windows have glazing bars and are set within arches made of flat brick with gauged edges. Each cottage has a six-panel door, topped with a cornice and a plain fanlight, set beneath a round, gauged brick arch. Original features inside the cottages include original staircases, dado rails, and round arches supported by moulded consoles over the hallways. Number 62 has a modern shop front.
