Description
This is an early 19th century terrace of six cottages, numbered 3 to 11, Lower Dagnall Street. The terrace is described as being somewhat altered by a later re-roofing. Each cottage is two storeys high with a single window. The cottages are built of red brick with renewed slate roofs, which cover a row of low, rebuilt gables facing the street. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within flush box frames, and are topped with shallow segmental brick arches. Each cottage has a wooden doorcase featuring pilasters and a cornice hood. The door reveal is panelled and includes a reeded cornice head, with glazing bars to a fanlight above the six-panel door. Nos 3 to 11 (odd) are designated as a group.
