Description
Nos 76 and 78 on Larkhall Lane are an early to mid-19th century pair of houses, each featuring two storeys and a basement. They have one window in the main block and a slightly lower, set back outer entrance bay. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and have a stone-coped parapet that aligns with the central axis. A stucco band runs along the ground floor. The sash windows, some of which have glazing bars, are set beneath gauged brick arches and are round-headed within round-arched recesses on the ground floor. There is a similar recess for the six-panel door, which features a cornice head and a patterned radial fanlight, all housed in a wooden classical porch positioned at the angle.
