Description
Courland Grove Baptist Chapel, formerly known as Lambeth Baptist Chapel, was built in 1840. It is a two-storey building with a three-bay gabled front made of stock brick, featuring stone coping. The façade includes three two-storey recesses: the outer ones have segment-headed arches, while the central one is taller and has a round arch with a louvred lunette above. The windows are sash style with margin lights, segment-headed, except for the central long first-floor window, which is round-arched and rests on a blocking course of an Ionic porch in antis. The building has three bay returns that feature blank segmental arcading.
