Description

This is a pair of houses built in the mid-19th century, numbers 335 and 337 Wandsworth Road, London. They are two storeys high and each has three windows. The facades are rendered in stucco with incised lines. They have moderately low-pitched slated roofs with an eaves soffit. A recess exists on the central axis of the pair. The corners feature pilasters decorated with a Greek key pattern. The sash windows have moulded architraves; those on the ground floor are round-headed, while the first-floor windows of number 337 retain their original design, but those of number 335 have been altered to modern casements. The front doors are panelled, with six panels to number 335 and four to number 337, and are flanked by engaged fluted columns, a cornice head, and a plain segmental fanlight, all within a prostyle Ionic porch. The buildings are listed partly for their contribution to the group value of the surrounding area.
