Description

TQ 2779 SE LENNOX GARDENS SW1 41/8 6.12.6 Nos 1, 3 and 5 GV II

Terraced houses. Circa 1885. Four storeys plus basement and attic; each house 2 bays wide. Red brick. Ground floor with door up steps over the area. Canted bay windows occupying both bays rise through front, first and second floors (except No 3 where the bay window rises through the first and second floors only). All windows sashes. Those of the first and second floors with quoins joining the windows vertically. Second floor windows with polygonal buttresses, shafts at the angles. The attic with dormer windows, all with differently shaped gables. On the return in Walton Street, the entrance to No 1 up steps within a porch with open segmental pediment, dimple fenestration and a tablet against the broad chimney breast.
