Description

Number 14, 15, and 16 are a terrace of three houses built around 1850, located on Brunswick Terrace in Stafford. The houses are constructed of brick with stucco dressings and feature a slate roof, designed in a Georgian style. They are two storeys high and consist of nine bays, with each house being symmetrical and double fronted. The wide eaves add to their architectural appeal.

Each house has an entrance framed by a plaster doorcase that includes pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice with a gabled blocking course. The doors have two tall panels and are topped with an overlight. The windows are fitted with sills and wedge lintels, featuring four-pane horned sashes. Notably, No. 14 has a later 19th-century bay window to the left of the entrance with paired four-pane horned sashes, and a canted bay window to the right of the entrance that has round-headed panels at the ends and two four-pane sashes above two two-pane sashes, both topped with a cornice. No. 15 has a similar canted bay window to the left of its entrance. The houses have end stacks and two cross-axial stacks.

No. 16 is distinguished by its cast-iron railings on a stone base surrounding three sides of its front garden, complete with a gate. There are also two rear wings. This terrace was built as part of the area's development following the opening of the railway in 1837.
