Description

The Former Eagle Inn Public House is a building dating from around 1800, constructed of brick with a slate roof and a brick end stack. This Georgian-style former public house features a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a symmetrical three-window arrangement. It has a stone-coped brick plinth, wide eaves and verges, and brick end pilaster strips.

The round-headed entrance is notable for its attached Composite columns and cornice, a brick arch, and a fanlight with radial glazing bars above the panelled door, complete with a lantern. On the ground floor, there are two wide canted bay windows, each adorned with pilasters featuring incised lines, a frieze, and a cornice, as well as 8:16:8-pane horned sashes. The first-floor windows have sills and are topped with rubbed brick flat arches over 16-pane sashes. At the rear, there is a plastered wing with a brick stack.
