Description

No. 13 Holland Park is a detached house built in 1862 as part of the planned layout for Holland Park. The house is constructed of stucco, with three storeys, an attic, and a basement. It has a symmetrical three-bay facade, arranged 1:1:1. The ground floor features channelling, and there are steps leading to a central entrance, sheltered by a wrought and cast iron glazed canopy. Two-storey canted bay windows flank the central entrance, each featuring Corinthian pilasters on the upper level. Pilasters are also present on the outer windows of the second floor, and a small balustraded balcony is positioned in front of the central window. A rich cornice tops the building, followed by a balustraded parapet that incorporates three dormers: the two outer dormers are pedimented, while the central dormer has chimney outlets. Cast iron balconies adorn the ground floor.
