Description

This is a three-storey mansion located at 23 Kensington Palace Gardens, constructed between 1852 and 1854 by C.F. Oldfield. The building is stucco-faced and comprises a main block of seven bays, with the three central bays set back. The ground floor features horizontal grooving. First-floor windows are each topped with blind balustraded balconies and shaped architraves, incorporating pulvinated friezes to the window entablatures; the central three windows have cambered pediments. A modillion cornice supports a balustraded parapet. An extension to the left of the main block includes a later 19th-century conservatory. The interior has not been surveyed.
