Description
The monument to Viscountess Keith (Hester Maria Elphinstone) in Kensal Green Cemetery features a small stone cross and a ledger slab. The cross is decorated with cable mouldings and floral reliefs in a highly stylised Gothic style. The ledger slab also has floral decoration and includes a text from Revelations 14:13 along the edge, which reads: 'And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.' Part of the inscription on the northern edge is difficult to read.
