Description
The Tomb of Joseph Durham, a sculptor who died in 1877, is located in Kensal Green Cemetery. It is possibly designed by Durham himself. The tomb is made of Portland stone and features a Carrara tomb chest. It includes a marble block with an inscription and trefoil insets on each end, which contain sculptors' tools. The structure rests on a two-stage base with a coped cover. Joseph Durham was a prominent Mid-Victorian sculptor known for much of the sculpture at the Albert Memorial.
