Description

This is a late 19th-century stucco-fronted terrace of houses, numbers 32 to 45, located in Stanhope Gardens, London. The terrace is five stories high, with a basement level, and each house has two windows. Doric porches project forward, often in pairs. A balustraded balcony runs along the first floor. Decorative cornices are located above the windows on the first and second floors. Each house features a canted bay window on the ground floor. A main cornice tops the building above the third floor. The cast iron area railings have a strong, arched design. The buildings are listed principally for their group value, contributing to the overall layout of Stanhope Gardens.
