Description

The Stanhope Court Hotel, originally a group of individual terraced houses, was constructed in the late 19th century. The building is stuccoed, rising to five storeys and a basement, with each original house featuring three windows across the façade. Doric porches project forward, and a balustraded balcony extends over these porches at the first floor level. Segmental pediments top the central first-floor windows, while triangular pediments crown the central windows of the second floor. A main cornice is supported by consoles above the third floor. Cast iron area railings are present. The building forms part of the wider Stanhope Gardens layout.
