Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of stucco houses at 17-29 Stanley Gardens, London. The houses are built in an elaborate classical style over four storeys plus a basement. The ground floor is rusticated, with pairs of Doric porticos. An iron railed balcony runs across the front of the first floor, and the windows are framed by a pilaster order. The end houses feature bow windows that extend to the level of the main cornice, below the top storey. The rear elevations are also stuccoed. The terrace returns to meet Stanley Crescent and Kensington Park Road, forming a formal composition with numbers 1-16 of Stanley Gardens, St Peter's Church, and numbers 10-11 Stanley Crescent.
