Description

The Tomb of Decimus Burton, also known as the Tomb of Jenny, daughter of James Burton, is located in Kensal Green Cemetery on Harrow Road, W10. It commemorates Jenny, who died in 1844, and Decimus Burton, who died in 1881. The tomb features a tapering sarcophagus made of grey Cornish granite, set on a stepped base, topped with a shallow pyramidal cover. Decimus Burton was an architect known for his work on the Athenaeum, the hothouses at Kew Gardens, and the Arch and Screen at Hyde Park Corner.
