Description
This is a pair of villas, numbers 3 and 7, linked by a smaller central property, number 5, built between 1839 and 1841, with a later addition to number 5 in the mid- to late 19th century. The villas are constructed of yellow stock bricks laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with Welsh slate hipped roofs, ridge tiles, projecting eaves, and brick end stacks on numbers 3 and 7. Each villa has three bays, while the link, number 5, has one bay. Numbers 3 and 7 have doorways with pilaster jambs supporting a cornice head, each leading to a four-panelled door. The ground floor windows feature gauged brick round arches, while the first floor windows have gauged brick flat arches. Number 5’s doorway has panelled pilaster jambs, a cornice head, and a four-panelled door with a three-paned rectangular overlight; its first floor window has a gauged brick flat arch. The group value reflects their contribution to the character of the area.
