Description
Nos 2 and 2A on Southwood Lane are early 18th-century buildings, each with two storeys and an attic. They feature two windows, although the left window of No 2A is a small insertion. The buildings are constructed of red brick and have a stone-coped parapet, with a tiled roof that includes dormers. The sash windows are adorned with gauged bright red brick arches, some of which are in exposed frames. No 2A has an early 19th-century shop front, which includes a fascia and cornice that extend over the entrance to No 2. Additionally, No 2 has wrought iron area railings. These buildings are included for their group value, as they are part of a series from Nos 2 to 12 (even).
