Description

This is a tomb located in the graveyard of the former Highgate Chapel. It likely dates from the early 19th century. The tomb is constructed of Portland stone and takes the form of a rectangular chest tomb with bulbous, ogee mouldings. It is surrounded by cast-iron railings, with every eighth railing featuring a thicker barleysugar design topped with a classical urn. The tomb forms a group with the adjoining Highgate School chapel and graveyard wall.
