Description

The mausoleum located 10 yards south of the chapel at St Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery is a freestanding structure from the late 19th century. It is built from Portland stone and features an octagonal shape topped with a low stone spire. The entrance is on the west side, beneath a gable adorned with flamboyant tracery. Similar gables are present on alternating sides of the mausoleum. The structure includes an openwork parapet with flamboyant tracery, as well as pinnacles and crockets on the spire. The entrance is fitted with bronze gates that have a knotted rope design.
