Description

Caretaker's lodge, built in 1900-1901 by Gordon and Gunton for Hackney Borough Council, provided accommodation for a caretaker responsible for maintaining buildings associated with the Disinfecting Station. This two-storey building is constructed of red brick with stone dressing and is designed in the Tudor-Gothic style. It has a cruciform plan and features a central stack and mullioned windows. There is a stone oeil-de-boeuf motif in the gable end, and it has a modern concrete tile roof. The lodge is listed for its group value with the Disinfecting Station.
