Description

This early to mid-19th century terrace comprises a group of three and a half linked pairs of houses, originally extended to include number 69, which has since been demolished. The terrace, numbers 71 to 83, is three storeys high with a single-storey entrance link connecting each pair of houses, and each pair features two windows. The construction is of stock brick with a stone-coped parapet, and the ground floor is stuccoed up to the first-floor cill band. The sash windows have margin lights and are set within gauged flat brick arches. Decorative Greek key patterns are incised above the ground-floor windows. The double doors, consisting of six panels with reeded pilasters and a cornice head, are complemented by a detached fanlight of an oriental shape, all enclosed behind a screen of Tuscan order. Numbers 71 to 83 form a group.
