Description
This is an early 19th-century terrace of three-storey buildings, comprising numbers 5 to 8, Cavendish Street. The buildings each feature one window. They are characterised by grey brick headers and a small cornice with dentils located below the eaves. The sash windows are set within reveals and are topped by flat arches with intact glazing bars; they have red brick dressings and painted brick voussoirs. The doorways have Doric pilasters and pediments, leading to eight-panel moulded doors. Number 8 has a stuccoed ground floor. Originally, number 8 featured a projecting shop window with small square panes, which has since been replaced with a sash window featuring a keystone. Numbers 1 to 50, Cavendish Street, form a group.
