Description

SHOREDITCH HIGH STREET El 1. 5013 (East Side) ------------------------- No 118½ TQ 3382 35/560 3.1.50. II GV

  1. Probably former Watch house. Early C18 building. Main north front of 2 storeys, 4 windows. Brown brick with parapet partly rebuilt. Gauged flat red brick arches to ground floor sash windows. 1st floor flush framed windows, all with bars. On street front similar windows 2 on 1st floor. Ground floor a wide replacement, also with glazing bars. Attic window in gable end. Door of 4 fielded and 2 flat panels in panelled reveal with moulded architrave. Cornice hood on carved consoles.

The Church of St Leonard with No l18½, the railings to north of No l18½ and the churchyard gates and railings form a group.
