Description
This is a police public callbox located approximately 10 meters east of the War Memorial on Victoria Embankment. It dates from around 1935 or earlier and is made of cast iron. The callbox has a narrow rectangular shape with an arched top, which is topped by a circular glass lens set in a four-columned finial. It features a hinged door that leads to a compartment containing a telephone, although the glass front has been replaced. Above the door, there is a panel with the words "Police public call post."
