Description

This is an 1885 tea warehouse located on Creechurch Lane in the City of London. It is a large building, likely with an iron frame, and is constructed of brick and stucco. The building is five storeys high, with six bays, each containing three windows, except for number 5, which has two windows and an entrance. The bays are divided by rusticated brick pilasters that support long, fluted brackets supporting a prominent top cornice and blocking course. The central window in each three-window bay was originally designed as a loading door, and five of these still retain their iron swinging hoists. Each bay features stucco pilaster mullions, segmental heads, a string course, and keyblocks above. The ground floor now contains modern shops, situated between glazed tile columns.
