Description

Twining's is a tea merchant's shop front located on the Strand in the City of Westminster. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of stucco. The building features a portico that leads to Twining's Tea Warehouse and is one storey high with a single window. The entrance includes a recessed double glazed and panelled door set within an architrave. This opening is flanked by Grecian columns that support an entablature, which has a blocking course and a raised central die topped with a lion, accompanied by seated Chinamen. The entire structure is framed by an open pediment that is set against a stucco parapet with a cornice and blocking course.
